In April and May of 2018 I went to South America visiting Peru and Bolivia. How beautiful, versatile and vast. We landed in Lima and visiting the Desert Oasis Huacachina, flew over the Nazca lines, visited Arequipa and the Colca Canyon watching Condors glide close by, went on to Lake Titikaka visiting the floating Islands and a rocky one, and on we went on our way to Bolivia.
In Bolivia we went to visit La Paz, Uyuni and the Salar, Potosi, Sucre and Oruro. Bolivia is a harsh country all over 3,000 meters byt so beautiful. Very charming. The salar close to Uyuni is a place to be seen. So vast, large, empty and white. Whow.
We underestimated the vastness of South America and the distances to be traveled by bus. The people where so nice, the food tasty, the altitute was felt every day and the cold brutal on us lowland Caribbean people.
In May on 2019 I went to Colombia to visit the breathtaking Gold Museum, the Museo de Oro in Bogota, the beautiful Villa de Leyva and stunning Salento with the Cocora Valley and Coffee plantations.
In Santa Marta I went trecking in the Tayrona national park and in Cartagena I enjoyed The old town and Fort.
